VDI adoption across all industries is forecasted to increase 33 percent over the next two years. Within that time, 74 percent of organizations adopting Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) plan to implement single sign-on (SSO) to unlock the full potential of VDI.

These are two of the key findings of the Imprivata 2014 Desktop Virtualisation Trends in Europe report, as a part of the company’s fourth-annual study to identify desktop virtualisation adoption trends. Imprivata surveyed more than 100 respondents from the healthcare, financial services, government and other industries across Europe to gain deeper insight into desktop virtualisation adoption and associated trends, including the use of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), the uptake of lower-cost endpoints such as zero clients and the benefits of deploying single sign-on (SSO) to access virtual desktops.
